About REPAC

Our History

REPAC was founded in February 2008 by a group of dedicated parents who saw the need to support Riverside High School's growing pre-engineering program. What started as informal parent gatherings grew into a structured organization committed to ensuring every engineering student has access to the tools, experiences, and mentorship they need.

In 2016, REPAC was incorporated as a North Carolina nonprofit corporation and received 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the IRS, allowing donations to be tax-deductible.

Our Mission

REPAC's mission is to support the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) pre-engineering faculty and students at Riverside High School. We achieve this by:

  • Fundraising for equipment, tools, and classroom supplies
  • Coordinating volunteer mentors from the engineering community
  • Facilitating student participation in competitions (TSA, etc.)
  • Building community among engineering families
  • Supporting student activities and social events
