Common questions about the Riverside Engineering Parent Action Council.

What is REPAC?

REPAC stands for Riverside Engineering Parent Action Council. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the PLTW engineering program at Riverside High School. We bring parents, students, and community members together to ensure the program has the resources it needs.

Who can be a member?

Every parent or guardian of a student in the Riverside engineering program is automatically a member of REPAC. There are no dues or fees to join. Alumni parents and community supporters are also welcome to participate.

When and where do you meet?

REPAC meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM in the RHS Media Center. All engineering parents are encouraged to attend.

Is REPAC a tax-exempt organization?

Yes. REPAC is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization incorporated in North Carolina since 2016. Donations to REPAC are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

How does REPAC use funds?

Funds raised by REPAC go directly to supporting the engineering program. This includes purchasing equipment and tools for the classroom, funding student competition fees and travel (TSA), providing classroom supplies, supporting student events, and other program needs identified by the engineering faculty.

How can I get involved?

There are many ways to help:

  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Volunteer for events and fundraisers
  • Serve as an industry mentor for students
  • Join a committee (fundraising, events, communications)
  • Make a financial contribution
  • Purchase spirit wear
How can I donate?
